Hi all,

we`re expiriencing a strange problem with a w2k3 server running as
guest on a fedora core 6 dom0:

- the w2k3 switches between realtek and amd pcnet network cards
between reboots on an irregular basis: the network card, eg. the pcnet
device 'disappears' from the system and the other one, eg. the rtl nic
is detected, the driver installed - but there is no connection between
it and the dom0 (and if there was one, it is lost).

When trying to manually configuring the 'new nic', we get the warning
message that the ip configuration is already bound to the 'vanished'
network card.
This has lead to the fifth lan connection in the w2k3.

Restarting network, the dom0 server or the domU guests was unsuccessfull so far.
The config file for the guests define model=pcnet.

This never happened with other w2k3 vms.

Does anyone have expirienced this behaviour, or any ideas how to track
this down?

many thanks in advance,
Dirk
