Hi all.

This is more general question on using Xen build from sources or use rather packages from various distributions.

I always built Xen from sources on Debian Stable.
At this moment I am also experimenting with CentOS 5, because I bought HP servers and HP software supports only few distributions like RedHat. Therefore with CentOS it is easier to install soft from HP for particular server.

My question is, if it is better to use packages which comes with distribution (CentOS or Debian) or rather build Xen from sources. Are there any advantages/disadvantages?

Also would you rather go with Debian or CentOS 5 on HP server. I am still not decided what may be better (big dilemma for me because I love Debian) , but I would like to have the support software from HP which is prepackaged for RedHat (CentOS).

Thanks Jiri
