ok, if i am allowed to just use the initrd that i found with locate this is my new .cfg: kernel = "/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.18-8.el5xen" ramdisk="/boot/initrd-2.6.18-8.el5xen.img" memory = 2560 name = " centos.5-0" vif = [ '' ] dhcp = "dhcp" disk = ['file:/xen/centos/centos.5-0.img,hda1,w', 'file:/xen/centos/centos.swap,hda2,w'] root = "/dev/hda1 rw" and this is the error i am getting now: Waiting for driver initialization. Making device-mapper control node Scanning logical volumes Reading all physical volumes. This may take a while... No volume groups found Activating logical volumes Volume group "VolGroup00" not found Creating root device. Mounting root filesystem. mount: could not find filesystem '/dev/root' Setting up other filesystems.
