When booting the domain, try to load not only a kernel,
but an initrd also.

You can do this specifying 'ramdisk' paramater in the domain config file.

For example:

kernel = "/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.18-4-xen-686"
ramdisk = "/boot/initrd.img-2.6.18-4-xen-686"
