Subject: [Xen-users] domU on an external disk

I intend to use an external disk for some domUs to take the load of the
main disk on this laptop. pv, vg and lv have been created. How does one
tell xen to use the external disk?

disk = '[phy:/dev/name_of_external_vg/logical_vol,xvda,w] ?

Hi,

Two points.
With external disks in the sense of nfs or iscsi, no problem, but when
using usb, be shure that the device get the same device-name each time.
Furthermore even when using usb2, the overal performance isn't great. I
would consider an etherdisk mounted with nfs...
