Hello!

The problem was, that I have referenced in the configuration on the same kernel! ;-)
The output of the commando "xm list -l nameofvm" have to contain following:

kernel /LinkToDomUDirectory/boot/vmlinuz-xenpae
ramdiskt /LinkToDomUDirectory/boot/initrd-xenpae

bestRegards!
Hermann

Betreff: [Xen-users] uname -r delivers same version in dom0 and domU(paravirt)

Hello!

It is normal, that "uname -r" delivers the same kernel-version in dom0 and domU (paravirt)?

In dom0 runs SuSE SLES 10 SP1, "uname -r" delivers "2.6.16.46-0.12-xenpae".
The output of the commando "xm list -l nameofvm" contains following:
    kernel /boot/vmlinuz-xenpae
    ramdisk /boot/initrd-xenpae

In domU runs SuSE SLES 9 SP3, "uname -r" delivers "2.6.16.46-0.12-xenpae".
In "/boot" following links are available:
vmlinuz-xenpae -> vmlinuz-2.6.5-7.282-xenpae
initrd-xenpae -> initrd-2.6.5-7.282-xenpae

Has anybody an idea?

best regards!
Hermann
