Jim,

you don't need to use these drivers at all. So let's be more supportive to James, at least he's doing whatever possible. I'm sure we'll find the reason of the low performance. I would also love to see some independent confirmation that the "proprietary solutions" work faster.

My system is fully 32-bit, 1 cpu domu. 2 cpu dom0.

James, your system being a multiprocessor domU may explain the 2 mbyte/sec I see and 5 mbyte/sec you see. Why is this network driver so dependent on the CPU?  Is it normal? I saw such behaviour in wireless drivers in the past.

Just out of curiousity, is this a 64bit system? dom0 or domu?
