Hi, My Xen 3.2 does not boot. Its stuck at "Freeing unused kernel memory: 148k freed". I used a FC8 distribution from jailtime.org. My kernel is built using make KERNELS= # xm console src-fc-01 xen-vbd: registered block device major 8 blkfront: sda1: barriers enabled blkfront: sda2: barriers enabled netfront: Initialising virtual ethernet driver. vif vif-0: 2 parsing device/vif/0/mac i8042.c: No controller found. mice: PS/2 mouse device common for all mice TCP bic registered NET: Registered protocol family 1 NET: Registered protocol family 17 Using IPI No-Shortcut mode XENBUS: Device with no driver: device/console/0 kjournald starting. Commit interval 5 seconds EXT3-fs: mounted filesystem with ordered data mode. VFS: Mounted root (ext3 filesystem) readonly. Freeing unused kernel memory: 148k freed Following are my configuration/ config files: # xm list Name ID Mem VCPUs State Time(s) Domain-0 0 702 1 r----- 593.4 src-fc-01 2 300 1 -b---- 2.8 The xm create used this config file : # cat fedora.fc8.xen3.cfg kernel = "/boot/vmlinux.2.6.18-xenU_x86" memory = 300 name = "src-fc-01" vif = [ 'type=ioemu, mac=00:16:3E:34:BB:51, bridge=virbr0' ] disk = ['file:/store/xen/images/fedora/fedora.fc8.img,sda1,w', 'file://store/xen/images/fedora/fedora.swap,sda2,w'] root = "/dev/sda1 ro" on_shutdown = "destroy" on_reboot = "destroy" on_crash = "destroy" vnc=1 vncconsole=0 /boot/vmlinux.2.6.18-xenU_x86 was built from the xen distribution I built for my dom0 using the KERNELS= parameter.
