Do you mean 2.6.24?

If so, there should be both Debian and Ubuntu patch sets for these.

Ubuntu hardy (with a little help from extra patches) works and Debian
had at least i386 support as far as I have heard.

Are you aware of the work in progress mainline work initiated by redhat?
