I'm helping a friend setup some Xen instances and he's wanting to use LVM for his MySQL based domUs and I would like to use tap:aio instead. His concern is performance..

Is there any documentation out there that documents the rough performance penalty of using tap:aio? My search on the intertubes yielded nothing concrete on this topic.

thanks!
