Hi, I tried to enable pci-passthrough (NIC) to hvm guest, but the guest system does not see any pci devices. My installation was made on debian with backport ( xen 3.2.0-3~bpo4+2 ). On my pc ( hp dc7800 E6750) I enabled vt-d. Windows/ Linux guests in hvm-mode works fine, but no pci-passthrough. I there something wrong ? # xm dmesg|grep -i vt-d (XEN) Intel VT-d has been enabled (XEN) [VT-D]intel-iommu.c:1060:d32767 domain_context_mapping_one:context present:bdf=0:1e:0 (XEN) [VT-D]intel-iommu.c:1060:d32767 domain_context_mapping_one:context present:bdf=7:0:0 (XEN) [VT-D]intel-iommu.c:1060:d32767 domain_context_mapping_one:context present:bdf=7:0:1 (XEN) [VT-D]intel-iommu.c:1060:d32767 domain_context_mapping_one:context present:bdf=7:0:2 (XEN) [VT-D]intel-iommu.c:1060:d32767 domain_context_mapping_one:context present:bdf=7:0:3 (XEN) [VT-D]intel-iommu.c:1060:d32767 domain_context_mapping_one:context present:bdf=7:0:4 (XEN) [VT-D]intel-iommu.c:1060:d32767 domain_context_mapping_one:context present:bdf=7:0:5 (XEN) [VT-D]intel-iommu.c:1060:d32767 domain_context_mapping_one:context present:bdf=7:0:6 (XEN) [VT-D]intel-iommu.c:1060:d32767 domain_context_mapping_one:context present:bdf=7:0:7 (XEN) [VT-D]intel-iommu.c:1060:d32767 domain_context_mapping_one:context present:bdf=7:1:0 (XEN) [VT-D]intel-iommu.c:769: iommu_page_fault: iommu->reg = fff75000 (XEN) [VT-D]intel-iommu.c:752: iommu_page_fault:DMA Read: DEVICE 0:1d.1 addr 7d2ce000 REASON 6 # cat /boot/grub/menu.lst|grep pci module /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.18-6-xen-686 root=/dev/md0 ro console=tty0 pci=nommconf noirqdebug nousb pciback.permissive pciback.hide=(07:04.0)(07:09.0)(07:0b.0) -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/hvm-linux-and-vt-d-problems-tp18098837p18098837.html Sent from the Xen - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
