Hello:

I am new to Xen and the Xen community. I have setup a server which I have root SSH access to. I do not have access via the machines terminal or KVM. It has a vanilla CentOS5.2 install on it. I following the following tutorial http://www.howtoforge.com/centos_5.0_xen

However I only got to the virt-install part. When creating the xen guest I get the following:

Starting install...

Retrieving file .treeinfo 100% |=========================|  413 B    00:00

Retrieving file boot.iso. 100% |=========================| 7.7 MB    01:59

Creating storage file...  100% |=========================| 5.0 GB    00:00

Creating domain...                                                 0 B 00:00

No console available for domain

Domain installation still in progress.  You can reconnect to

the console to complete the installation process.

After this point I am lost. The domU will not start. How do I complete this installation. I have looked at other tutorials and they all seem to be choppy. Can anyone let me know if I am on the right track or provide a step by step of what I need to do. I would assume after I setup the domU I still have to configure networking for each domU.

Can anyone give me any pointers?

Also has anyone used OpenQRM for managing Xen instances? Any thoughts?

Sincerely

Jason
