I'm setting up my first HA Cluster with a Xen Service and I'm looking for advice from those that have already traversed this path.

Hardware:
2 - Dell PE2950 servers
2 - Qlogic FC/per server
HP EVA5000
Brocade 2GB Switches

Software:
SLES 10SP2 (Dom0 and domU)
Xen 3.2
heartbeat-2.1.4
multipath (to SAN disk)
LVM2 or EVMS (haven't decided leaning towards LVM2)
OCFS2

Here's my thought:

Configure 2 LUNs on the SAN the first LUN will be formatted ocfs2 and will hold the domU. The second LUN will hold the data (MySQL database), and will be presented to domU as a physical device.

Heartbeat will handle failover and live migration of the VM. I am planning on using a serial cable for the heartbeat so the dual NICs can be bonded.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks,

Rob
