Hi,

Since upgrading to Debian's 3.2-1 hypervisor package, domains do not
cleanly shutdown or reboot anymore. They remain in the "s" state
until destroyed manually, then it is possible to create them again.

Here is a snippet of console output from a domain which has been
told to shut down:

Stopped /var/www/vhcs2/daemon/vhcs2_daemon (pid 7773).
Asking all remaining processes to terminate...All processes ended within 1
seconds....done.
done.
.Deconfiguring network interfaces...Cleaning up ifupdown...Will now deactivate
swap:.
done.

[160455.177159] System halted.

In the other window, "xm shutdown -w" returns believing that the
domain has been shut down, but it hasn't. "xm list" says:

Name ID Mem VCPUs State Time(s)
test4 48 480 1 ---s-- 1329.4

"xm list --long test4" confirms that on_poweroff is set to destroy:

(domain
    (domid 48)
    (on_crash restart)
    (uuid 840a911c-49dc-9b25-88b0-49d17e538e37)
    (bootloader_args )
    (vcpus 1)
    (name test4)
    (on_poweroff destroy)
    (on_reboot restart)
...etc...

This happens with every domain, but this behaviour was not seen
before the upgrade.

Any ideas?

Cheers,
Andy
