Hello all,

I am fresh new to Xen, and so far learning to make up some simple configurations.

I have something in mind but don't know if it is possible. Perhaps anyone will be able to show me the way...

My goal is to build a transparent cluster without any licenced software. I have some Blades, and I want to be able to see them as a single machine that could promise me high availability and segmentation of the services (with virtual domUs, in our case). Ganeti seemed to do some of the trick, but too many manual interventions were nedded to claim having real high availability. I found those two tutos: http://www.howtoforge.com/the-perfect-load-balanced-and-high-availability-web-cluster-with-2-servers-running-xen-on-ubuntu-8.04-hardy-heron and http://te.to/~ts1/xen_cluster.html, but my problem is that I have more than two physical machines, and I consider that two machines running the same domU can provide high-availability, so how to do the load-balancing between the machines?

I am aware that my question is far from simple to answer and to apply, but if anyone have already thought about it or made it, I would appreciate the share.

Thanks in advance...

Simon
