domU: linux-2.6.29 with pv_ops enabled, compiled from kernel source

This setup works great on a number of different systems, but on one system
in particular the domU fails to boot.

This issue seems to have started somewhere with the linux 2.6.28-29 kernel.
Everything works fine if the domU kernel is 2.6.27.

Is the 2.6.27 -xen kernel or pv_ops kernel? I had problems starting
pv_ops kernel on some dom0s, and it turned out that particular server
has NX disabled by default on BIOS. Once enabled it worked correctly.

The 2.6.27 kernel was a pv_ops as well. I just checked the system and there isn't an option in the BIOS to enable/disable no execute. /proc/cpuinfo on the dom0 shows that it's supported a supported feature of the CPU so I am assuming it's on by default in the BIOS. I should have mentioned that dom0 is 64bit and that I have tried both a 32bit and 64bit domU, neither of which work.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Cheers,
Robert.
