Ah, basically I was using the packaged version of XEN then just did an upgrade 
from the source.

How would i install the other parts that you mentioned?

So you only installed the hypervisor? Not the userland programs (xm,
xend, etc.) ?

It might be be because mismatched hypervisor-userland version. Have
you tried installing the userland as well?
