We found a solution that should work: The steps to get vTPM working on Xen-3.5-unstable are

- Follow the steps on http://cybione.org/~cdidier/blog/200812020841.html
- Make sure vtpm_managerd is started on the host (dom0) before starting any guests that need vTPM - On linux guests, make sure that /dev/tpm is created. If not, add the command "mknod /dev/tpm c 10 224" to your autostart (e.g. rc.local)

Sorry but we did not try vTPM with full virtualization, only with paravirtualized linux guests.
mknod /dev/tpm c 10 224

Hopefully somebody will find this description helpful :)

Best regards
Andreas

Hello,

I followed the instructions at http://cybione.org/~cdidier/blog/200812020841.html in order to get vTPM's working using the tpm-emulator project from Berlios. But I get the same problem that was reported in a mail to xen-devel from last year (http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-devel/2008-03/msg00835.html).

Do you have a solution for that?
