Hi all, I'd like happily to announce that I could fix the problem. I don't know how exactly I did this, but it seems it was a memory and X problem. A friend of mine told me to check the output of vmstat and what turned out is that the machine was swapping too much. I set the dom0 memory to 512Mb and after several X reconfigurations it works now pretty well. Hope this helps other too. I tried to disable them but there was no /lib/tls to be moved. Do you think this might be the problem - that i don't have tls? Thank you, Elisabeth "Nikola K.
