Thats strange, I could expect the e1000e driver to work with that
card, according to
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?ProductID=2196&DwnldID=9180&lang=eng
that is the correct driver, but other users have reported problems
with 2.5.29

Unfortunately I dont have any system I can test e1000 on with Xen, all
of my Xen servers have 82575EB or 82566DM-2.

What sata controller do you have?

2.6.29-xen-r4 is probably the best one to use right now, .31 is very
new and I've already had some problems with it.

Perhaps you migjht be better of trying pv_ops kernel, if it supports
the features you need.
