The OP tells me that it works fine with a standard windows HVM domU, but
not once GPLPV is loaded, so at this stage I think it is a GPLPV
problem.

I can't remember if it was Vista or 7 that made some changes to the CPU
related structures in Windows. If it was Vista then that may be the
problem.
