Hi All.

I'm starting to use Citrix XenServer. My configuration is as follows:
- XenServer 5.5 Update 2;
- 320 GB disk for control domain and a storage repository used to store virtual machines (DISK1);
- 320 GB disk which I plan to use for backup purposes (DISK2).

I'm trying to find the best way to make a backup of a Windows 2008 R2 virtual machine which is installed on DISK1 (LVM local SR). As I think the best way would be to make a 'full' backup of the VM once a week (on weekend when employees doesn't use the VM) and 'snapshots' every day in case of minor problems.

Could Anyone propose a suitable solution? Which commands should I use from scripts (xe vm-snapshot, xe vm-export/import, xe vm-copy, )? What should be the steps needed to make a restore? I'm a little confused :)

Thank You very much for help :)

With regards,
R.
