[Xen-users] XCP and Windows 7 Guest

XCP Pros…

I am looking to install a Windows 7 guest on my XCP machine and read over the instructions at http://www.xen.org/files/XenCloud/guest.pdf. The instructions indicate that I don’t create a uuid for the Windows DomU in the same way that I did for a Linux guest. I believe this is incorrect as I need a UUID to update the memory settings for my Windows 7 VM as I did with my Oracle VM (see http://blog.xen.org/index.php/2010/03/04/xcp-tutorial-building-a-hvm-guest-using-command-lines/ and http://blog.xen.org/index.php/2010/03/04/xcp-tutorial-memory-issues-with-new-vms/).

I think I should follow the same steps for a Windows guest as I did for my Oracle guest and then add the PV drivers for Windows later.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.
