ok, there is no cifs share or NFS i have a 8TB local drive array

xe sr-list shows

uuid ( RO)                : a783f6cd-509e-e36c-8f72-0e1d540afff4
          name-label ( RW): XenServer Tools
name-description ( RW): XenServer Tools ISOs
                host ( RO): intelagrid-cloud
                type ( RO): iso
        content-type ( RO): iso

which lives under

/opt/xensource/packages/iso/

last time i believe i uploaded a FreeBSD iso here

and did a refresh, and it also appeared as an ISO that i could attach to a vm to install from

Hello,

I might be wrong, but CIFS share (sr) isn't an option? (at least this way it works in XenServer)

Matej

yeah unfortunatley we dont do nfs here, i need to simply import the iso so i can boot and install vms from it, it was doable before in 0.1 i simply uploaded the iso, andf refreshed, so why is it not occuring now or whats changed

i know this could be done in 0.1 by uploading the iso and refreshing the location, but it doesnt
appear to work in 0.1.1, has something changed or is this no longer possible?

IMHO the easiest is to use an nfs based sr, in my experience its content is refreshing if you add or remove isos.
