Odd!

Ive upgraded and installed the debug version of the driver and not have
any issues now so i can't report back on anything.

Can you confirm what add GPLPV to the boot line actually does as it
seems GPLPV is enabled anyway unless NOGPLPV is added.

That's almost identical to my setup... hopefully the debug build will
tell you what the problem is.
