No i don't any more. Official Lucid xenified installer:-

wget http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/lucid/main/installer-amd64/current/images/netboot/xen/vmlinuz

 wget http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/lucid/main/installer-amd64/current/images/netboot/xen/initrd.gz

David Markey pointed this links some time ago. It's on the list

Boris.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the info.

I'll try your way.

I always thought that Ubuntu 10.04 included some "Xen Stuff". Does it include anything? Maybe it's just the kernel that has Xen support?

Thanks

J

I also use Xen 4.0 on karmic 2.6.32.10 pv_ops kernel dom0.

You can try my method (PV) with both boot files included on the CD: vmlinuz and initrd.gz.
It won't work since xen modules are missing.

Even Boris resorts to an HVM install of Lucid, then converts it to PV.
My method is fast if you are willing to use pv-grub for first boot.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for that.

Isn't there an eaiser way with Xen 4.0? I was lead to believe that Ubuntu 10.04 worked "Out-of-the-box" on 4.0 from CD?
Thanks

You can install from the CD if you modify the included initrd adding a couple of
xen modules. More info + a modified initrd here

Hi Everyone,

How does one install Ubuntu 10.04 DomU in PV mode when running Xen 4.0? My Dom0 is also running 10.04.

Can I still use the CD?

Thanks
