That resolved my problem

If you added a second line this assignment will replace the original.  The second interface needs to be defined within the existing statement, e.g.:

 

vif = [ 'mac=00:16:3e:00:01:3c, bridge=eth0',

            'mac=00:16:3e:00:01:3d, bridge=eth1' ]
