Indeed. This strengthens my presumption that Xen has a severe problem on this platform (that is Intel 3420 [Ibex Peak] and 1156 "Lynnfield" CPUs). Please try my workaround patch at http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-devel/2010-09/msg00556.html Uptime is now 160 hours with this patch on my machine. Is this confirmed, or just your experience so far? We also use SuperMicro and I was about to get a new Lynnfield CPU system, but don't want to sit with problematic hardware. I am working on tests to confirm that and I contacted the developers. Right now uptime is over 8 days.If my presumption is correct, then you need to understand that it is not a problem of Supermicro. In a 2 month testing process I changed the mainboard and used one from ASUS and the problems were absolutely the same. The problem seems to be between Xen and the platform (not the mainboard maker). I am starting tests with Supermicro X8DTi and E5620 very soon. Since this platform has ARAT (always running APIC timer) I expect a working platform. As matter of interest, how do you check the Motherboard mak Your text was cut off. What was the question?
