[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] RE: [Xen-users] CPU Questions
Hyper-threaded logical CPUs are not as powerful as adding more real CPU cores, but they are definitely faster than not having them. For example, a server that supports hyper-threading will be capable of doing more virtualized work with hyper-threading enabled than with it disabled. It is definitely helpful to use hyper-threading if your budget allows. -----Original Message----- From: xen-users-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:xen-users-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Joseph Coleman Sent: Wednesday, February 23, 2011 12:20 PM To: xen-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [Xen-users] CPU Questions > >I have a question in regards to the usefulness of hyper-threading.
