Hi Brian, I ran 2.6.32.16 (a few months later .18 and now .27) with RAID-0, RAID-1 and a big RAID-5 volume (all across 3 disks, RAID-1 for /boot, RAID-0 for temporary directories, Swap etc, RAID-5 for data) on three 1 TB SATA drives 24/7 without any problems. The only thing I encountered were problems with XFS; the domU crashed while I was using XFS on a RAID-0 (!) volume. All other filesystems had no problems so far, I think it is XFS-related and the XFS code has changed a lot around that time... (BTW, I did not test it again after 2.6.32.16). - Felix Am 24.02.2011 22:44, schrieb Brian Krusic: > Hi all, > > While I understand there can be issues with running Xen with Raid5 > were domUs live on the raided partition, I've also read were the pvops > kernal (2.6.32) has solved some issues. > > Is it still recommended to run Xen on no more then a mirrored set or > is any one running on a Raid5 setup? > > Any wisdom is appreciated. > > - Brian > > > > > > > > > _______________________________________________ > Xen-users mailing list > Xen-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users > -- Vorstand des Desaster Games e.V.
