Hi, I recently compiled a Xen-4.0.1 and pv-ops Dom0 2.6.32.27 kernel from JF's tree.Where my hypervisor could not boot and unfortunately the system is rebooting so frequently that I am not able to note down the error messages on a paper and pencil. So now I am planning to go for a non pv-ops Dom0.I am not clear as what should be the approach? I have been Googling it every now and then and was not able to understand this process exactly as how it is working.Does it need an older version of Xen with 2.6.18 version kernel or I can use a latest kernel also. Does Xen-4.0.1 works with non pv-ops Dom0 kernel and if that the case how will it work.Do I need to patch a vanilla kernel from kernel.org with gentoo patches or some thing similar. I am looking to compile every thing from scratch for my own understanding.I have installed binary packages from Debian/CentOS and used them. But for a non pv-ops Dom0 kernel I am not clear with the procedure.Let me know what should be the approach in this case.I want to do it on Lucid 64 bit. If some one can give me a relevant link to a tutorial that would be great. It has been quite some time for me searching this problem but I am not able to come to some concrete thing based upon my search.I will be using Ubuntu 10.04 64 bit system. In case the Xen-4.0.1 does not work then should I go with an older version like Xen-3.0 some thing? -- Regards Abhi _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
