[Xen-users] Sending faxes (serial modem) from HVM guests

Greetings.
I have an HVM windows (2003 SBS) host with a forwarded serial port (serial = /dev/ttyS0). The port is connected to a modem which is then used to send faxes via Microsft Fax. The modem is fine (tested on other machines, same setup) and the server itself is the p2v of a machine that performed the same task wih the same modem.

But:
after the number is dialled, connection established and negotiated, everything stops until the line is dropped with a "no answer" diagnostic. The fax machine at the other hand says that the connecting party did not send any data.

Any ideas? The serial port has been setup as 9600 8N1. Flow control is hardware - when we tried to switch to XON/XOFF the whole shebang stopped working. Xen version is 3.4

Alternatively, anybody knows if there is a way to connect Microsoft Fax to a mail2fax service (the user base is strongly interface-change-averse, not to mention that it includes one of the firm's owners)

Cheers,
Alessandro
