Re: [Xen-users] Debian 6 as DomU hangs

Well... I've stop sending bugs to debian about coexisting xen after few attempts.

This kernel afaik do have two problems:

1) Migration sometime fails with machine going to suspend and not going back. Not replated to machine load, can happens even on idle machine. 2) Pre-inflated balloon not supported (supported, but not allow to be deflated lower than start value)

you say :<Debian Squeeze do have buggy kernel>

Debian Squeeze do have buggy kernel. Use or newer kernel from debian sid
(3.0 or 3.1), or use forward patched kernel from SUSE (afaik 2.6.37-xen).

Hello, I got Centos 5 installed on my server (Linux srv1.local

x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux). Then I put Debian x64 6 in DomU with 2GB of
RAM. It works perfectly. Recently I increase RAM for this VM to 4GB
and it starts to hang randomly. I think it hangs when try to use more
than 2 GB (may be more) of RAM. So I created new VM with 4GB of RAM.
Boot with debian 6 netinst iso and it hangs during install. I decrease
memory to 2GB and installed it without a problem. Windows Server works
perfectly with 5GB of RAM on this server.
