Re: [Xen-users] Ubuntu 11.10 and Xen 4.1.2 (i386)

is xenstored running

I found there was no service called xenstored
in /etc/init.d. There are the services I found in init.d:

xencommons
xend
xendomains
xen-watchdog

Does version 4.1.2. still include that service?

After extracting the xen source here are the commands I used to compile:

make xen
make tools
make stubdom
make install-xen
make install-tools
make install-stubdom

I have these available commands (including a xenstore command) in the shell:

# xe
xenbaked xend xen-hvmctx xenperf
    xenstore xenstore-exists xenstore-rm xentop
        xentrace_setsize
xen-bugtool xen-detect xenlockprof xenpm
    xenstore-chmod xenstore-list xenstore-watch xentrace
        xenwatchdogd
xencons xen-hptool xenmon.py xenpmd
    xenstore-control xenstore-ls xenstore-write
xentrace_format xetex
xenconsoled xen-hvmcrash xenpaging xen-python-path
    xenstored xenstore-read xen-tmem-list-parse
xentrace_setmask xev
