Yes,
and to make some further "noise" here:

If you're paranoid and have more time you may use "shred" or similiar tools 
instead of rm to remove that files with maximum security against any forensic 
analysis or restorings.

If you have the option to remove files to delete with your own command you may 
use shred for it instead, but i'm not shure how far shred works as wanted on 
each type of SAN.
