Currently, RHEL6.2 or RHEL6.3 guest can bootup in 30~40s (for either RAW or QCOW2 image). And, RHEL5.5 guest (which has no stop time issue) can bootup in 50~60s. I also commented in the bugzilla. You can also have a look for more details. Will you want still track or fix this old issue ?
