I wonder if there are any plans for patching xen cpu   apci driver. From reading it seems that the detection of power savings is milited to reading bios tables. If the information is not present the driver does not load. It seems that this lack of power savings  bigest weakness of xen. kvm relays on power savings offered by kernel. On many systems such us hp 380 g6 I am unable to set governor as the driver does not function at all.
