[Xen-users] Weird dom0/domU interactions ?

Hey everyone,

dom0 : alpine linux 2.7 with xen 4.3
domU : debian 7.5 + ZFS on Linux

I'm seeing a strange behaviour with the domU.
I'm not certain it's Xen related but it points that wayâ

Case 1 :
When I boot (or reboot) dom0, the domU is booted automatically (through /etc/xen/auto).
Problem : the zfs datasets do not get mounted automatically (although pools are visible)

root@debianZFS:/# zpool list
NAME Â Â SIZE ÂALLOC Â FREE Â ÂCAP ÂDEDUP ÂHEALTH ÂALTROOT
zdocs  Â928G  178G  750G  Â19% Â1.00x ÂONLINE Â-
zmedia Â4.53T Â 833G Â3.72T Â Â17% Â1.00x ÂONLINE Â-
root@debianZFS:/# ls /zdocs
root@debianZFS:/#Â

If then I reboot the domU, the zfs gets mounted automatically.

root@debianZFS:~# ls /zdocs
docs Âphotos Âserver Âtemp
root@debianZFS:~#Â

Case 2 :
If I disable autoboot, and start the domU with xl create, then everything mounts automatically

Question :
I don't get why or how in case 1 the boot or reboot of the dom0 will prevent the domU to properly mount the ifs datasets ?

Any ideas why ?
if not, any ideas on how to determine why and fix it ?

Thanks in advance for the help
Pierre
