At a guess it looks like you have a distro kernel which requires an initrd to provide the drivers for the root filesystem but I don't see any sign of the initrd being loaded. Perhaps your grub configuration has become incorrect somewhere along the line? You can press e to edit the grub entry and check what it looks like etc. I don't think the issue is that your initramfs is loaded but somehow corrupt because I think there would be messages logged about that. If the grub config looks correct then this might be something to consider though.
