[Xen-users] Has Anybody Tried Xen VGA Passthrough with Xen 4.6 RC4 and the Latest Linux Kernel 4.3-rc3?

Dear Xen users,

Has anybody tried or attempted Xen VGA Passthrough with Xen 4.6 RC4
and the latest Linux Kernel 4.3-rc3? And with the latest Linux
distribution of course.

Are there any Xen Wiki pages, installation guides, manuals, or
tutorials for doing this?

The last time the Xen VGA Passthrough Wiki page was updated was 28
June 2013, more than 2 years ago (at
http://wiki.xenproject.org/wiki/Xen_VGA_Passthrough).

The last time the Xen VGA Passthrough Tested Adapters Wiki page was
updated was 19 December 2014, almost one year ago (at
http://wiki.xenproject.org/wiki/Xen_VGA_Passthrough_Tested_Adapters).

I have observed that very few Xen users have actually tried and
reported their successes on Xen VGA Passthrough for the past 1-2 years
based on my Google searches. Is the interest on Xen VGA Passthrough
waning?

For your information, I have bought the following computer parts on
30th August 2015 at Sim
Lim Square to upgrade my 2 year-old home desktop computer. The last
time I upgraded my home desktop computer was on 4th July 2013. At that
time, I was using Intel 4th Generation Core i5 4430 @ 3 GHz processor,
Asrock B85M Pro4 Motherboard (Socket 1150) and 32 GB Kingston DDR3
1600 memory. I have sold both the processor and motherboard off at
SGD$250 on 2nd Sep 2015.

1) Intel 5th Generation Core i7 5820K Processor (15MB L3 Cache, 3.3
GHz, 6 Cores, 12 Threads, LGA2011-V3 Socket, TDP 140W, Haswell-E)

2) MSI X99A SLI Krait Edition USB 3.1 Motherboard (Intel X99 Express
Chipset, LGA2011-V3 Socket, DDR4)

3) 8 GB Kingston DDR4 2133 MHz CL15 Computer Memory

4) Andyson AG-Series 650W 80Plus Silver Power Supply Unit (PSU)

5) Cooler Master Hyper 103 CPU Cooler (Heatsink Fan Assembly)

Total: SGD$1222.00

I have also bought Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64-bit DVD OEM on 31st
August 2015 at SGD$153.00.

I have the intention to passthrough my Sapphire AMD Radeon HD 6450 PCI
Express x16 display adapter to Windows 10 Home x64 HVM domU (ie.
virtual machine or guest operating system) using Xen VGA Passthrough.
I will be using the latest Linux distribution as the host operating
system. Hence I am wondering if the latest Linux Kernel 4.3-rc3 still
supports Xen dom0 and domU. I am able to download, configure,
build/compile and install my own Linux Kernel based on the old
documentation that was available a few years ago. But I will need help
along the way since everything is so new and there is no new
documentation.

My new microprocessor, motherboard, and motherboard UEFI BIOS (as
mentioned above) all support Intel Virtualization Technology for
Directed I/O (VT-d).

I am looking forward to your reply. I would like to know what VGA card
you are using for Xen VGA Passthrough. I am hoping to upgrade my VGA
card in the future after saving up.

Thank you very much for your kind assistance.

Yours sincerely,
