seems that legacycfg works now after they released the above patch. I built grub2 in Zesty 17.04, ran the grub2-mkstandalone, then used the resulting grub-x86_64-xen.bin to boot a Jessie VM. The pv VM had nothing in the MBR, but had boot/grub/menu.lst that worked with pvgrub. My pvgrub2 kernel was able to boot with it too. I also got jessie to boot using the regular symlinks in root of the filesystem. For the archives, the GRUB bug is here: https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/index.php?50280 And here Vladimir Serbinenko posted a patch that allows it to work: http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/grub-devel/2017-02/msg00060.html Cheers, Andy _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxx https://lists.xen.org/xen-users _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxx https://lists.xen.org/xen-users
