Re: [Xen-users] How to build a guest domain on a non debian dom0

Hello,

once you extract the tarball, open the Makefile. The (hooks) roles.d only supports up-to Fc17. So you should symlink to fc26 in the same pattern seen there.

Some filesys differences:
debian: /etc/default /usr/lib
fedora: /etc/sysconfig /usr/lib64

The reliance on debootstrap in Debian dom0 still works in Fedora, which is available in EPEL repo. There is no reason you can't setup a (LVM) filesys, format it, then debootstrap into it. Then finish the install from inside the chroot.

I've done the above workaround without using xen-tools at all. Then you don't need the perl stack it uses.

Hello
I have installed xen on a fedora26 machine.
The xen server is up and running.
I am trying to create guests with xen-tools which i downloaded from xen-tools.org together with debootstrap and required perl packages.
When i run xen-create-image i get error messages : trying to access debian like directories which don't exist since xen is running on fedora.
Either there is an option in the xen-tools of which i am unaware of, or there exists an rpm version of xen-tools.
Could you please help me.
