The OPAM package for vchan is not released yet indeed. For now 
everything is in git://github.com/vbmithr/ocaml-vchan (or 
git://github.com/mirage/ocaml-vchan) if mirage has been sync-ed with my 
repo (which was not the case AFAIR).
