Aha! I thought of you and put in a "--target=unix" option that will force the 
use of Unix mode even when on MacOS X. So just do "mirage configure -t unix" 
for the old behaviour.

What is the output of your "uname -a"? I can put a smarter check into mirage to 
not need this on older MacOS X.
