Your relationship with Hannes might mean he doesn't consider that
comment rude, but in any case, I thought it might be helpful to put
down some thoughts on giving feedback on writing as "... the document
feels like unstructured, poorly written, random rumblings" achieves
nothing useful, and that probably means that your time reviewing the
thing has been wasted :)

+ Be specific -- eg., "the link between sections 1 and 2 wasn't clear".

+ Be constructive -- eg., "how about splitting section 3 in two
subsections titled X and Y" or "you need to add something about topic
Z".

+ Be useful -- eg., patches are generally better than criticism,
however specific and constructive!

might be a worthwhile read.
