Ian,

We were able to install the servers that we had tested and rearrange the server cabinet so that the server and components are placed in the order that you wanted.

Network Cabinet Configuration

8 port switch

48 port switch

Comtrol Newcastle

Comtrol Gate head

Merlot 0,1

Space allocated for Nocera 0,1

Baroque 0,1

Space allocated for oselata 0,1

Chardonnay 0,1

6u Open Space

4u Allocated for the ARM Crate

Newcastle

Gateshead

Space allocated for Elbling 0,1

Fiano 0,1

Space allocated for Pinot 0,1

Godello 0,1

Huxelrebe 0,1

Itailia 0,1

Rimava 0,1

I will construct a spread sheet that will show the configuration and specify the switch ports, Comtrol ports and PDU positions for each server.

All the servers that had been delivered – 18 in all, we are still waiting for 8 servers (4 Sets).

There  is a 10U space between Sever pair [Item 6] Chardonnay 0,1 and [Item 7] Elbling 0,1

All the servers have been labeled with their name and item #

Items 3a, 5a, 7, & 9 have not been delivered yet.  I am expecting  to get at 3a and 5a this week.

We cabled then all up to the 48 port switch and most of them to the Newcastle comtrol server.  We are making the remaining serial adaptor null modems and will have them installed this week.

The PDU’s have not been configured yet but we are targeting that to happen this week as well.  We need to download an APC tool to access the PDU’s web interface.

The outstanding problems with MSI BIOS for Rimava 0,1 are still outstanding, it appears that MSI took 2 weeks off for the holiday also.

The VLAN setup for infrastructure and test are setup but the tagged ports are not working the way you wanted them to work.  Chris is trying to come up with a configuration that will function the way you want.
