Following the installation guide.
The instructions are very clear and the ARM installation Guide leaves nothing to the imagination so I think I have it all setup correctly.
I connected the associated labeled power plugs to the associated boards
I configured a router to reserve an IP for 00:04:A3:48:D6:E6
I connected the Router LAN port 1 to RJ45-PDU
I connected the USB Cable from the computer to the ARM Crate USB0 Serial port
I connected the computer serial DB9 to the DB9 on the Metrocentre /Arndale board
I connected and Router LAN port 4 to an RJ45 cable from the router to the RJ45 port on the Metrocentre /Arndale board
I applied power to the POWER IEC Port
The Crate powered up and the disk lights and fans are running
I attempted to do the “grep” command but got no response from the board
I attempted to browse to the PDU (in this case 192.168.100.150) No connection
There are no RJ45 connection or link lights on the Metrocentre board.
I attempted to ping 192.168.100.150 but got no response.
At this point I need some help. I will call you when I get in this morning. I am going to call it a night.
I could configure the DCHP server to only have 4 addresses and try each one to see if I am getting a response, but if the MAC address is correct the reserved IP should be the one the ARM Crate is using at the PDU Port.
