I contacted Lenovo and spoke to Jeff.  He informed me that the RS140 did not officially support Debian.  I told him we were able to install and run it without error so that was not an immediate problem, but the Serial Console redirection access was.  He told me the only way to resolve the problem was to configure AMT for console operation .  He supplied the enclosed document to show how to do it.

 

Please review it and tell me if you think this will solve the problem or at least give us workaround.
