[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] [Wg-test-framework] Four disks missing from All-net supplied servers
In our supply contract with All-Net two of the test box pairs were specified with two disks per machine. I have just been prompted to check this, and I'm afraid that neither of the pairs have been fitted with two disks per machine. The affected machines are: * Purchase contract Item 4, baroque0 and baroque1 * Purchase contract Item 9, pinot0 and pinot1 I'm sorry that it didn't occur to me to double check the hardware configuration in detail earlier. Ideally I would now double-check other vital information such as hard disk and RAM sizes and CPUs. However, this is a fair amount of work, especially if it needs to be done quickly. (If we can do it more slowly, we may be able to do it with some more automation, since we want to be able to automatically collect machine properties anyway for other reasons.) Should we try to take this up with All-Net ? Having /no/ machines with multiple disks is not ideal. So if we don't want to try to argue with All-Net, we should procure a handful of disks (2 or 4). In any case we should ask Credativ to fit whatever disks. It might be worth asking Credativ to double-check whether the missing disks are present but unconnected (!) Ian. [1] Ian Campbell noticed a problem with the Citrix osstest instance, in which runs in the Cambridge office. It seems to affect a machine with multiple disks. _______________________________________________ Wg-test-framework mailing list Wg-test-framework@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xenproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/wg-test-framework
