Can't confirm that.

I've create and install new debian (minimal installation), here

time xe vm-export uuid=c0723402-d1d1-993f-8f6e-d81cbbad8b5c filename=/mnt/test.vm
Export succeeded
real 0m33.411s
user 0m0.030s
sys 0m0.000s
(/mnt is external storage mounted via NFS, 1G link, during export I've got about 500Mb/s, which is decent for non-tuned tcp in 2.6.32).

I think you experience some generic system performance issues, they are not related to XCP.

If you wish more help, you need to point to more specific problem, then just 'export is slow'.

Hi all,

I would like to report that there's an issue that exists on XCP 1.6
beta (and 1.1 stable too) that results in very slow vm import/export,
causing high IO wait and load. The details are below, the machine is
freshly installed, without any modifications (like md raid, and so
on):

There is nothing visible in dmesg nor logs that could give a clue
where is the poor performance coming from: the xva was exported from
XCP 1.1 in about 3 minutes, the import takes about 30 minutes
(confirmed with few different xva's) and while importing the dom0
becomes extremely sluggish.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Kind regards,
S.
